There is nothing intuitive about Computer Networking. Heck even the Terms and Definitions are confusing and counter-intuitive. My friend Jason Brooks owns Beanstalk Computing providing business networking maintenance and repairs in the San Diego Area was sharing with me how he helps his clients save time money and frustration by pro-actively visiting each client and finding problems before the printer stops printing, modems stop working and people can’t work because of the “Network is down… again”.
It’s funny to listen to him talk in his native Networking Terms and Definitions making Computers seem so mysterious. He says it’s pretty basic and simple, but I personally feel that he is a bit strange. He is somewhat of a “Computer Network Whisperer”. What that means is that he so understands computers, networks and their applications that when he enters the network room or closet, he intuitive knows what and where the problem is at. As a Business Intuitive, I relate completely. Most of us ignore our intuition, especially when it comes to technical issues.
Why am I writing this article? Simple, a business associate recently was infected with a virus that was easy to remove, if we had the right solution. We didn’t and my associate had to completely reinstall all of their software! What’s funny is that Jason had a post on his blog about how to remove this virus, but I didn’t look on the Beanstalk Computing Blog, instead I ran a muck searching all over the internet for a solution… It didn’t work.
Bottom line is this: Listen to your intuition and go to your network for a solution before google. Especially when Networking Terms, Definitions and Computers are you life blood in your business. If you don’t have a good computer network guy for your business, use Jason at Beanstalk Computing – he doesn’t work on home systems, but for a San Diego Area business with a 5 or more network nodes – he will cure your computer networking blues and keep you in production!

Advantages of Networking in Business

Every Small Business Owner is looking for more business, sales, success and a way to develop their passion, expertise and create an the income that they desire.
It seems that any book that you pick up about business strategy includes something about Business Networking. Networking in Business should be a simple and straight forward process, but it seems that no two people can agree on what networking in business really is even though it’s advantages are continually touted.
In my opinion, here are the 7 Advantages of Networking in Business:
- You get a sense of the local business environment.
- You keep up with current events and news.
- You see what the current business trends and fashion are.
- You are introduced to concepts and ideas that you can use immediately.
- You get out of the office or home office.
- You connect with other living human beings.
- You get a sense of your competition.
As a 25 years business professional, I have two recommendations. First: Get and use a system – Get a free business networking audio from The Link System. Second: Use Networking Events Finder to find great local networking events. To close, remember that The Advantages if Netowkring in Business are very much like the advantages of the gym and exercise – there is no advantage if you don’t show up and participate.

As business networking options for small business owners gets more complex, it’s time to take a look at which networking strategies are best whether you’re in Colorado, New York or San Diego.
There are 3 components to a Networking Strategy:
- Find and attend quality networking occasions.
- Have a specific intention when you network.
- Use a system or process to connect, qualify and follow through.
First: Finding quality netowkring events seems to ba a challange. There are so many sites run by various people. There is a new site that is in beta testing called Netwroking Events Finder. It’s a network of local “netwoking guides” that is published and moderated [business networking and business events only]. I think they have about 25 “networking guides” established so far and looking to expand. What makes them uniques is that they do not host their own events, you can’t publish a birthday party there and access if free. As they continue to develop their site, they are promising “online business networking”. It will be interesting to see if they can pull that off. Most of my online experience has been marginal and “spammy” at best. http://NetworkingEventsFinder.com
Second: Much has been written about intention and it’s power. The reason why is that it works. As a small business owner you wear many hats. You are accountable for sales, lead generation, marketing, business development, accounting [A/P, A/R, Payroll, Bookkeeping], Finance, Customer Fulfillment and Service as well as managing the whole pie. In many ways you are like the plate spinner at the Circus… Have a clear vision and intention of what you need next in your business in each area of accountability is how you truly maximize the benefit of a business networking event. The appropriate resources are always in your immediate sphere if you are aware and intentional. This is where listening and intuition are key skills for you the small business owner.
Third: Having the right system to connect, qualify and follow through is where you make you money as a business. It’s been said many times that most people make a better burger than McDonalds, but virtually no one has a better burger selling system. There are many systems out there to train you how to network. My recommendation is to perfrom you due diligence and investigate them all. You will find some better than others for your particular personality style. I personally recommend and endorse The Link System Training. It’s a foundational program that will show you how to use business networking as an effective business development strategy. Most importantly, remember the business networking is not a hunting [immediate sale] strategy but a farming [cultivating relationships] strategy.

Business Intuition: Not Just Women’s Work

As summer winds down, I’ve been busy getting several projects ready for launch after the Labor Day Holiday. They are internet based projects and my entry into the “4 Hour Work Week”. We’re putting together several membership sites that will help business people with their business networking and home based business owners in making more money from home and start their “4 hour work week” business. Very exciting and something that is a 20 year dream coming to fruition.
I’ve been using my “intuitive” abilities to guide me in these ventures. It’s fun honoring my “spiritual values” and following my “intuitive sense” and watching the project unfold. While at the same time I’ve been managing my ego, impulses and personality that wants to do things the way it’s always done things… down and dirty and very quickly. Now we have a built to last, intuitively designed and spiritually inspired business. Do you think it will work? – I know it will.
In the back ground while I’ve been working on my projects, I’ve gotten more acquainted with what it’s like to be a “professional intuitive consultant”. Since my name is “Terry Hall” most people expect a Business Intuitive named Terry Hall to be a woman. Well I’m not lady, woman, chick or female. So how did I male become a business intuitive?
That’s a good question. The answer may surprise you. I took a course. I heard about the class and knew and knew that I knew that I would be there. Not even a 2nd thought. The class I took taught me to meditate, quiet my mind, control my mind, leave my body, heal myself and others, communicate with Spirit and love myself. Of everything that I’ve learned and practiced “loving myself” has been the catalyst for having a fun and blissful life.
Anyway, what’s it like being a man in what is traditionally female role? Simply put a pain in the butt. Most people see me as my physical self [strong, powerful and no-nonsense]. When it’s time to use my soft skills and intuitive abilities they’re not quite sure how to take it. As a side note, it always made dating fun and eventful. Making love with an Intuitive Man that is also strong and powerful is a trip [according to the feedback that I've received]. But that’s another article for my personal journal. 
As a male intuitive counselor that is straight, I’ve also had many interesting offers for the gay community. It the gay community, I’m told that my physicality would make me a “bear” but the few that have tried have realized that I’m hopelessly hetero.
There is only one other stereotype that I’ve had to manage to get and maintain my credibility. That is the stereo-typical way that most intuitive counselors dress. Most intuitives, psychics and healers look like they are on the way to a Renaissance Festival somewhere or they seem to have gone to the “Tammy Faye Baker School of Make Up” and using more cologne and perfume that a 60-something Realtor ™.
So now that I’ve touched on the major stereo types in the Spiritual/Intuitive Community, let’s talk about if you should hire me. The answer is probably not. I am a real big pain in the ass. I’ve fired clients. I don’t worry about hurting your feelings. I only work on my scheduled hours. I don’t put up with whining, complaining and other distractions. Simply put, I’m pretty much a “Spiritual Jerk”.
You may be asking why anyone would hire me. It’s simple – I’m damn good. It you want something and are willing to have it on your life, then I can assist you in getting it. My preference is Business – hence “Business Intuitive” and “The Small Business Prophet”.
Imagine having someone that can listen to your heart is communicating show you the most probable future and how to design your life in a way that strikes a balance between your dreams and reality. Works very well. I can say that now that I am my own client.
Oh, another reason that the stereo-typical spiritual community disinterests me is that most practitioners do not practice for themselves what they preach to others and the dis-congruity is the reason that most Spiritual people are happy being unhappy.

The Olympics always brings up the “Thrill of Victory and The Agony of Defeat” for me. Heroic efforts, dramatic stories of personal sacrifice and what the human spirit is all about….
When I work with my clients, I always find something to love about each one of them. That is very easy with some and much harder with others. It’s the same with the Olympians. Some are easy to love and others it seems that I love to hate.
As I get older, I’m learning to rely less on my physical senses and more on my intuitive and sixth sense. I listen between the lines at what is being communicated and less to what I hear being said. The value of being self-referential with a close groups of confidants and advisers is more appealing and effective than listening to public opinion and what’s popular…
In the end, we are all here to experience love. Love of our selves, romantic love and the loving of friends. It’s the mastery of love that is at the heart of being your best. It’s your personal expression of your best that matters most – not anyone else’s opinion of what’s best. Having the courage to stand up for what you feel and know to be right for you is Life Mastery.
It’s by capitalizing on your passion and talents that we find happiness and fulfillment.

I get asked this question all the time so I decided to answer it publicly and eventually add it to my FAQs on my website.
What can I say. I help people get what they want from life with my Intuitive and Psychic Abilities.
My specialties are: Business, Sales, Marketing, Relationships, Stress and Anger Management. If you are a MLM business owner and not making it, I can help you see why. If you are Single and don’t want to be, I can show you why. If you are stuck, pissed off and angry I can help you see why.
There’s no magic here. We all have intuitive abilities and you’ve experienced it yourself many times. What makes a difference is being able to get the “intuitive” information that you need, when you need it and not randomly. Getting “The Intuitive Edge” in your business and your life – in the areas that you need information right now is where I come in.
I’m not cheap. There are plenty of cheap spiritual counselors, psychics and intuitive counselors out there – just check your local psychic or spiritual bookstore. You can get reading for a buck or so a minute. I choose not to work that way.
If you want great legal advice would you go to a para-legal or the cheapest lawyer in the yellow-pages? Well maybe, but it’s your business, your happiness and your peace-of-mind that are at stake. A Chinese saying goes “The real cost of free advice is not discovered until you act on it.”
The bottom line is this. We all have a choice to make about our worth and our value. I know that I my work helps people have happier, more fulfilling lives and that is afterall what we are here for – to be happy according to the Dali Lama.
The cost of happiness, freedom, joy and bliss is high. More than the financial price you pay, it’s the cost of giving up your righteousness. For me to wrestle with righteousness, I charge a lot financially. Most people that pay my price feel that it’s worth every penny…. You’re the judge.
